LingoFlow is an efficient, lightweight, ano privacy-first companion for portable foreign language reading. All translations are processed locally —completely offline with zero data uploads. We are here to redefine your mobile reading experience. To ensure an immersive experience, here is a step-by-step guide to getting set up.
Basic Usage Instant Translation: Select the content you wish to translate and tap "Copy." Switch back to this app to translate automatically. Due to iOS background restrictions, audio may temporarily lag if the app has been idle in the background. You can open the app from the foreground to wake it up, or just continue using it—it will automatically recover shortly. Real-Time Translation: After editing the clipboard content, tap the "Play" button to speak the text and translate it in real time. Seamless Learning: Add the widget to view your latest translation at a glance, making review a natural part of your daily flow. Notification Management: a. Lock Screen Notifications: Swipe up to view other notifications. Swipe left gently and tap "Clear", "or swipe left firmly to clear a notification. b. Dynamic Island Display: Swipe left or right on the Dynamic Island to hide or bring it back. To dismiss the display, clear the Lock Screen notification or long-press the Dynamic Island and tap "Close". LingoFlow has been suspended due to inactivity. To reactivate, clear the lock screen notification and use the app again.
Basic Settings To Disable Paste Confirmations: Go to Settings → Apps → LingoFlow → Paste from Other Apps and select Allow. Enable Dynamic Island Display: To display translation results in the Dynamic Island, please allow "Live Activities" when prompted on the Lock Screen. If you initially declined this permission, you can manually enable it in Settings to restore functionality. • Go to Settings → Apps → LingoFlow → Live Activities, and toggle it ON Offline Translation: Allow language pack downloads on first launch or add manually: Settings > Apps > Translate > Languages> Language Available For Download. Dictionary Download: Settings → General → Dictionary, then select the dictionaries you need.
Increase Word Lookup Accuracy Whenever possible, use the base form of the word. You can edit the text in the Clipboard Content field and tap the circular Play button to refresh the translation. If a word translation seems inaccurate, try expanding your selection. LingoFlow handles both single words and entire sentences.
Advanced Usage Automate your workflow: For the foreign language App you browse the most, you can set it up so that after copying text, a simple double-tap on the back of your phone will automatically jump to LingoFlow and then return you to your original app. This feature requires configuring Shortcuts and Back Tap. Setting up the Shortcut Open the Shortcuts app, tap the "+" icon to create a new shortcut, then long-press "New Shortcut" at the top and rename it to LingoFlow.
